1/4 cup flour
For the Batter
1/2 Cup cornflour
1/2 Cup Flour
1 tsp baking powder
Chilled Water 1 Cup or more
Mix all ingredients and add more water if required to make it smooth
Oil for deep frying
Sauces to coat
Sirarcha 1/4 Cup
Mayo 1/2 Cup
Honey 1/4 cup
lemon zest and juice of 1/2 Lemon
Mix all ingredients, taste test to see if you want more or less of anything.
Get the oil for deep frying ready and hot.
Wash the shrimps and pat with paper towel to keep it dry.
Dip in plain flour first then dip in batter and the lower into the oil to fry.
Do not overcrowd the pot.
Deep fry in batches. drain on paper towel.
Toss into a large bowl and coat the sauce in it and serve piping hot.
Sprinkle some chopped spring onions and sesame for pop of color 🙂
