I host interactive and engaging baking workshops for individuals of all ages, ranging from adults and teens to children as young as 4 years old, right in my beloved kitchen, aptly named ‘Crumbs and Chatters.’

Regardless of your skill level, these workshops offer a diverse culinary journey. We explore a variety of cuisines, from English Brunches and Indian Biriyani to Layered Buttercream cakes, Italian Panna Cotta, French Vol-au-vents, Moroccan Couscous, Korean Fried Chicken, Greek Moussaka, and many more.

What sets my baking workshops apart is the focus beyond traditional sweet desserts. While some might associate baking with cakes, cookies, or desserts, I challenge that notion. There’s a world of savoury delights and culinary adventures waiting to be explored in the realm of baking, and my workshops aim to break those preconceived notions.

When I plan a bake-along, I plan to make savoury and sweet recipes so we have a meal at the end of the session that everyone can enjoy at the table.  I take a small fee for organising and hosting the bake-along.

A typical children’s bake-along menu will include 2 recipes; a main-course savoury recipe (like a pizza/ pie/ lasagna/tacos) and a dessert (like cookies/muffins/ mini cheesecake, etc) to be completed in 2 hours or less.

A bake-along for adults would include a complete menu with a starter, main course, side/salad dish and a dessert to complete in around 2 – 2.5 hours.

That’s the usual plan! With many hands at work, we can complete tasks efficiently as the workload gets divided. And yes, it’s not a demonstration; it’s a hands-on workshop! 🙂 I strive to create recipes from scratch, using the finest ingredients whenever possible. However, I may take the easier route occasionally or provide alternatives for simplicity. You’ll receive the recipes via WhatsApp or in print.

I can guarantee that you’ll not only learn something new but also have the chance to teach me a thing or two. Plus, we’ll have a great time and enjoy finger-licking good food.

When children bake with me getting to witness their sense of achievement in kids when they create something with their own hands is truly special. I cherish those moments when working with them.

Private workshops: If you’re interested in organizing workshops for kids or teens, I’d be delighted to host them, fostering their cooking skills, instilling curiosity about ingredients, promoting a love for healthy and tasty food, and giving them a sense of accomplishment.

If you’d like me to be part of your organization or host a workshop for your office or provide a personal cooking lesson, please feel free to email me at crumbsandchatters@gmail.com. I’d be thrilled to explore the opportunity 🙂
